Questions we get a lot.
The practical stuff — how pricing works, what customs needs, and the difference between a dedicated move and a shared slot. If yours is not here, ask us.
Do you do local moves as well as European ones?
Yes — that is most of what we do. We run local removals across Hayes and the surrounding UB postcodes, national moves anywhere in mainland Britain, and a scheduled road corridor into Central Europe. The same depot and the same crews cover all three.
Which European countries do you move to?
Our corridor runs from Hayes to Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland. We focus on those four routes rather than claiming to cover the whole continent, because running them regularly is what lets us keep the scheduling and the customs side tight.
How do you price a move?
We survey the job first — in person or over a video call — then quote in writing against what we have seen: the volume, the access at both ends, and whether you need a dedicated vehicle or a shared slot. The written quote is the figure; we do not add surprises on the day.
What is the difference between a dedicated move and a shared slot?
A dedicated move gives you the whole vehicle and a direct run from your address to the delivery point. A shared slot means your goods travel alongside other moves heading the same way, so you only pay for the space you take. Shared is more economical for a part-household; dedicated is faster and simpler for a full one.
Do I need to deal with customs paperwork myself?
No. For a move to the EU or Switzerland we prepare the inventory, the transfer-of-residence declaration and the customs entries, and we lodge them for you. We will tell you which personal documents we need from you and chase anything outstanding before the load leaves Hayes.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can, especially for the European corridor — corridor legs run on a schedule and slots fill up. If your dates are tight, tell us; we will be straight about what is realistic rather than promising a date we cannot hold.
What happens if my completion date slips?
It happens often and we plan for it. We can hold your load in a dry, alarmed unit and redeliver once you have keys, so a delayed completion does not mean rebooking a second firm or paying for a wasted run.
Are my goods insured in transit?
Yes. Goods-in-transit cover applies on every move, local or European, and we will explain the level of cover and any options before you book. The inventory we take at survey is what the cover is written against.
How quickly will I hear back after asking for a quote?
Send us the details through the quote form and we will come back to you promptly to arrange a survey. If it is easier to talk it through first, call or email and you will reach a person, not a call centre.
Tell us where it’s going.
A local hop across Hayes or a full household to Zürich — send the details and we’ll arrange a survey and put a written quote in front of you. No stock figures, no pressure.
